If England can get this good, this quickly, it raises serious questions about what Peter moores was doing so badly wrong [and the twonks who appointed him).

That's my view to when i first  heard of the appointment   felt  it was a backward step for England.

Baffling. Seems Taylor really isn't wanted in the side.

Butler injured. So you'd think billings, a keeper takes the gloves, and Taylor dots in the batting line up......

Nope
Butler out, Barstow in with gloves and bats at six.

Billings stays as crickets only specialist no7 batsman.

Seems strange but Bairstow is looking good this season.

I'd have thought Billings to keep though and get Taylor in.

Are they thinking Bairstow may have to keep in the tests die to Buttlers injury and this game is to get him back in the routine of England???

England's fielding has been the issue. Billings is better than Taylor, Bairstow is in gun form. Taylor would be first reserve if Root or Morgan got injured lost form.

Wicket.

Weirdly, billings is a better keeper than Bairstow but Bairstow is probably the better bat. You can change the "brand of cricket" but you can't change the non-sensical approach to selection with England

Joelj's reasoning. Bairstow is first reserve for the test side, so get him back in the England groove just in case.

Gillespie has been saying that Bairstow should be back in England reckoning for last 3 weeks, that is how well he's been performing.

Fair to say the decision to play bairstow was a master stroke.

Runs from billings and bairstow, can't see Taylor getting a game anytime soon now! He must be gutted

Really has set the touch paper again great series against world class side who play the game the way it should be.

New Zealand may have lost the series but have gained more new admirers
