Do you think cook is sat at home thinking. I should still be skipper and opening!

Midnight tonight on channel 5 if you fancy stopping up and watching Root and Buttler spank it

What an innings from Jos. My word this kid is good when he's allowed to play his own way.

2 wickets Dall in the last over. And 400 seems so fat away! Can Finn and plunkett get 6 more runs?  Huge psychological edge 400!!

Believe me he probably still does think he's good enough!

Surprising no complaints about it being a flat pitch/short boundaries/new ODI rules/nothing in it for the bowlers etc that high scores usually get.

Great entertainment! More flat pitches ;)

Been away from updates for half the afternoon. When I left we were two hundred and something for five. Then we're 408-9 :o Where did England go? Who replaced them with a totally different team? What a great score! How will the Kiwis get on, given their batting?

This is a much better England side and not just because they scored 400. It looks to be much more balanced with attacking stroke makers throughout and a varied bowling attack.
Tough day for NZ on the cards here although we do bat pretty deep.

Thats just standard Taylor treatment right there.

'Oh i see you're doing really well. Better drop you / ignore you / say you're too short then'

England obviously see something in JT that they dislike.  Problem is, no one else has any idea what it is and, unlike a KP stuation, it does not lend itself well to speculation....

So why was rashid not picked in the West Indies and the test series?
Not bowled too badly today!

Moores didn't trust/rate him did he? Said he wasn't bowling well enough for selection .

He certainly did for ronchi.  What ronchi get in that test again?
