Full credit to England but some of these LBW decisions are very poor.

What a boring game. Simply too many runs, it gets Boring to watch. Not a patch on the NZ vs aus game in the wc for entertainment

Nice to see England play with adventure and have a young team though. NZ bowled and fielded terribly

I had seen articles in the past describing how Joe Root's game play is outdated and sticking to the old test cricket standards. I used to be a bit disappointed, i always felt this guy is as good as any other attacking player in the world. His stance and the way he handles his bat during a bowlers delivery stride reminds me of Lance Klusener. I was very happy to see him take charge of the innings today .. Good shots and attacking attitude. Set the tone for a big score and Butler rightly finished what Root started !

ECB should atleast let Root, Butler & Stokes to play IPL. IPL stint would make them even more dangerous and prepare their temperament for such attacking game play .... they would also learn a lot by playing against good set of spinners.

Good start, keep it up .. When Root scores the entire team roars :-)

IPL teams want players who bring in the paying public. Unfortunately those players aren't rockstar enough.

I think Buttler might start coming to their notice.

Bit harsh, apart from Rashids googly (clever bowling to a tailender) which I thought was out at first glance, nothing else appeared to be wrong.

Buttler would walk into most T20 teams, and Root can't be far behind. As an all rounder I'm sure SRH would rather have Stokes than Henriques  :D

Was there for the game, cheers Vitality for the free tickets. Never enjoyed a cricket game that much, thoroughly entertained.

I thought Taylor's was pretty bad. The angle had it just clipping leg, I don't think that umpires should be giving those out for any team if the player is playing a shot. That one of Rashid looked like the umpire was just in awe of the delivery and gave it out. It was never out, too often we see these given because umpires are unsure what they've just witnessed. Good bowling though from the leggy.
No sour lemons, we were out played.

Just needs a crazy haircut and some gold jewellery. Yeah he's awesome. I think Root will struggle to get a contract until he starts captaining England.
I'll continue to say it, I think Stokes is too inconsistent, great on his day but those days are very far apart.
