Some interesting batting here by England...

This is a much better side though. All these batsman are dangerous. Get one out and another comes in. Not like the old England.
Pitches being like a motorway help with just trying to hammer everything though, and the Kiwis don't have any proper fast bowlers.

I'm not sure we will do it. But england making a better job of this chase than nz did in the last game.

Like I said, they seem like a much better side than previous years. Dangerous players throughout and a very positive mindset. Good for England that different guys are stepping up as well.

Do we believe the wc odi england would have made 313 for 7 with 9 left?

We may not win this, but we are still doing a dam site better than previous.

We are on the up. These are building blocks. The future is bright. The future is yorkshire based......

Regardless of the result. Good to see positive cricket from two teams when it involves England!

Bit gutted the rain came. And only 9 runs of the duckworth and lewis.

Plunkett drive over cover for 6 of the left arm spinner was shot of the game for me!

Good game. Good game.

Get cook, ballance and trott back in this one day side!
Cook still probably thinks he's good enough.

Southampton should be an even flatter wicket, more runs!

You want NZ to win :D ?? Today was a case of captain leading the chase and entire team chipping in with short and effective innings. Yes England fell short, thanks to the revised target but it was a bloody good chase. I would have never expected this chase from england's 2015 wc side, but this side is capable of chasing for sure. This is the way cricket should be played and i like the way this bunch of english players are going things ...

Ballance, Cook & Bell can keep scratching their head and probably learn ODI style batting from Butler :D !!

I'm going to presume the new in cs new is for new Zealand.  So yeah he'd want nz to win.

Just think though. Cook as captain and opening.  Nz could have got 500 and we being 190 for 1 chasing that when the rain came!

Jordan out with Sidestrain. Expected after rolling up in game.

But now plunkett ruled out too.

Overton called up at mo.

So who gets the game? Willey and wood in?
