SS I-Bat Equivalent...
« on: June 22, 2015, 02:17:56 PM »

Afternoon all,

This winter, I brought an SS i-bat as a net bat for the season. Unfortunately, it has turned out to be an absolute cannon and now I want more...

My question is this - It is the Michael Clark duckbill shape - do SS make this shape in a higher grade willow? And if so, which model?

I await a response from someone in the know.

Cheers guys!

SS are making a lot of Duckbill shapes this season.

I'd look for a Maximus, Limited edition or a Master 9000 (depending which stickers you prefer) if you lik that shape

Hi Cam!

Is that the "full shape" as on Online Stockist?

I'd just ask the seller to send you pics of the profiles as SS bats can vary in size and shape. I've seen the same model bat come in around 10 different variations/specs, some are full but some can be concaved as hell.

I got my last SS's from a source that was a bit controversial on here.
You will find the name with minimal digging in the Sareen Sports section, but as 1 they're not a sponsor and 2 I'm being watched/on the naughty step I won't give too glowing a review.

All I will say is I asked for the full profile and stated the weight I required and they sent pictures of the actual bats in stock, so you're not buying blind as such.

Here are the twigs I've had from there
