Cricket Near University.
« on: June 26, 2015, 04:58:44 PM »

Next year I'll hopefully be easing off to University. Here's a list of the Universities that I am visiting; Loughborough, Chester, Bath, Bristol, Southampton and a few I haven't decided on yet.

So was wondering if any forum it's play near any of these uni's, been at Loughborough today and I think that'll be my firm choice just need the grades!

You should add Exeter to your list.

Of the above Bristol and Bath are looked on most favourably by employers.

If you go to Southampton I know a lovely club just down the road.
There's a load of not so nice ones around too  ;)

Having attended Bristol myself I wouldn't recommend it! City is great, but university living off its' reputation.
Friends who've been speak very highly of Loughborough/Southampton. From that list, guessing engineering?

I wasn't fussed on Bristol, to all over the place for me. Accounting is what I would like to do.

I can vouch for the university club itself at Southampton after 4 years playing for them. Brilliant ethos and lots of cricket available for all abilities. Friends in the school of Management had mixed experiences but all went on to 'good' jobs

If you want to go into accounting - you should apply direct to the big four firms and get on a school leaver programme, you will be earning from day one and have finished your exams before your peers have finished their degree. No student debt, a great job and proper qualification. Plus if you get into the big 4 early you progress very fast.

Applications for Deloitte's next intake opens this week.

The above should come with a huge disclaimer about missing out on some incredible times that you will never forget!

In my view, anyway. :-)

Yeah that's my other option, it'd take on of these if I could get one!

If you're going for one of the Big Four, I highly recommend PwC...

I'm currently in the 2nd stage for Deloitte which is very exciting.
