Phantom Bats
« on: July 01, 2015, 11:01:31 AM »

Hi

New to the forum so firstly hello!

I'm looking for a new bat at the moment and last weekend saw someone using a Phantom bat which caught my eye. I spoke to the chap using it and he has been really impressed with it; plus I really liked the pick up and it's nice to use something a bit different.

Does anyone know who they're made by? It says Sussex on the bat, but the chap using said that they don't make them. Before I buy something I quite like to know where it's coming from.

Cheers

Decent bats - one of our sponsors Its Just Cricket loves them and stocks them.

You can get a similar bat from blank bats but for less cost. if you like the stickers, they are a rip off from the ones designed by the designer for Hammer/Affinity bats.

sure they will be fine.

Hi BigM,

So does the M stand for anything in particular?

Also if you're wanting to check out their range then just have a look at the videos @ItsJustCricket have put up on their YouTube page (here's some links to get you started)

There's also been some heated discussions about the brand on here, if you go looking I'm sure you'll find it  ;)

Eagles only sells Pakistan made bats based on his last dozen sales posts. Maybe he could clarify?

I'm sure they are excellent bats. Simon May has had so many bats from different brands, and if he gives them the seal of approval, then you know they are good! I quite like the stickers, and I know the bats are sourced from one of the best batmaking companies. If Eagles is the owner, then it's not surprising that Phantom seem to be up to date as to what people look for in bats, at least those who buy from smaller brands. :) As for the price, to be honest, at £350 for their top of the range bat, they aren't massively overpriced in today's market, if I had £350 I wanted to spend on a bat, a Phantom would probably be on the list of competitors! (Mind you, it is £50 more than a H4L pro, and Matt is also an exceptional presser and craftsman)
