Mulberry Wood being used for Cricket Bats

Hello All

Has anyone ever heard of Mulberry wood being used to in Cricket Bats , I imagine it to be harder and heavier than Willow but flexiable , This might be the sort of thing that I am after but would like to create my own bat.
Does anyone out there know where to get a cleft ??

Mulberry is used in wooden hockey sticks. Harder than willow. No idea about how you prepare it for use mind!

Wouldn't have thought that the mullberry wood grown in the UK would be suitable as they tend to be bushes with fruit similar to blackberries.
I think Theres a mullberry tree grown in the USA which is sometimes called the bow tree which is flexible and was used to make bows.
