Off the shelf 3lb+
« on: July 06, 2015, 05:57:54 PM »

Evening chaps,

Long story short after a long lay off I am back playing and looking for a new bat 3lb+.  To my shame I am hopelessly behind the times having failed even to glance at an equipment catalogue during that time.  I know, I know heresy!  Anyway, am I right in thinking that apart from the Gray Nics extreme range and the odd heavy Kook I would be struggling to find anything off the rack in that weight range and have to go custom?

Cheers.

Windy (if I may call you that)

I would suggest talking to one of the retailers on here - I'd be amazed if the likes of Jake @Vitas, Asad @Uzi or Paul @Its Just Cricket didn;t have something on stock, or could get you something pretty quickly. I've used all 3 of them, and they all offer superlative, friendly service.

I believe Jake is at Gray Nics tomorrow.

Whereabouts are you based?

CJI also do some pretty heavy bats, anything up to about 4lb if you're looking for something massive.

I've got a fatso, it's all middle and about  3.4, picks up ok but I'm far from convinced by the quality of finish
