GN Kaboom - David Warner Replica Edition
« on: July 10, 2015, 10:09:55 AM »

Just seen this posted on the Meulemans facebook page. This is an exact replica of what Dave Warner uses, and limited to only 20 units. You may want to sit down when reading this spec, but this bat has 55mm edges and weighs 2lb 14oz. Must be an ultra light cleft to get those specs. Given the scarcity of these bats it must be worth $AU1000 or thereabouts but I'm yet to see any prices listed.

The David Warner replica - instructions for bat maker

1) Handle and press cleft.
2) Sand and apply edge stamps.
3) Sticker up finished cleft.

I was under the impression David Warner uses a 2.12lb bat.

Good lord the ball must fly off that.

No wonder Warner hits some huge balls.

If it's a Replica then why is it heavier than the bat he is using.
Sounds like just a Marketing gimmick . Also the blemish in the playing
Area does not justify the cost of the bat.
Too heavy, anyways !!

Looks exactly like his (from the pics i have seen on here). Probably a ounce off his weight. Id say Warner would get the best of the best for himself.

Always hated the stickers, and to me it just doesn't look nice at all. Still smash a ball a long way mind you.

It's obscene, but if I was strong enough to be able to wield a blade of that weight I'd get one! It's almost getting to a point where you nearly have to have restriction on edge size, etc, not just bat face width. Just seen a price, AU$899, not cheap!

Price is reasonable compared to top of the line Gray Nics bats at $1200 Aussie.

We have a profile shot and a weight, any forum bat makers got a spare tree trunk they're willing to have a go at making one of these with?  ;)

Saw one of David Warner's bats and it had a fair bit of graping on the face of it. He used it in a game too, so don't think he cares about looks too much
