A couple of little crackers
« on: July 20, 2015, 07:40:51 PM »

So having now moved house and sold a lot of kit well all except 2 bats i had a gap for a wet weather T20 bat, we play T20 against hard county balls and only got my Ton Elite & Norfolk bats I decided to have a little look in Lillywhites in London during a break in my day

Picked up firstly a kook kahuna, new full profile with a nice little blemish towards the toe, really like this as this knot tends to be a bit tougher and should give a bit of protection to the toe, weighed it at 2.9 bang on, 34mm edge and nice grains. Used in 2 T20 and it goes nicely having nit knocked in at all

Next is a slazenger V800 fusion, nice grains, round face and light 2.79 in fact and 32mm edge little concaving, this is soft and taps up very well with a lovely oval handle feels great in the hands, not the best bit was both bats were less than £130 together so picked up kook verve pads and 2x kook kahuna carnage gloves and duffle well pleased

I do not want to pee on your parade Chris, but I managed to pick up a v800 fusion today with 12 very good grains, no major blemished and virtually no concave. Pic will follow I promise it exists. All at 2.9lbs. I am proper chuffed. I had looked in the piccadilly store and seen a few but non that looked all that great. But this one is a real miss grade, maybe g2 but ill let you decide!

I saw another in my local SD last week that was a cracking stick, 7 even space dead straight grains, easily looked G1 and at £56 was a bargain but I refrained from another purchase
