Looking to get some Oakleys and will be looking to field in them but slightly worried they might affect my catching ability! Tried a mates on and dropped a few when practicing, is it a case of simply getting used to taking some grabs with them on?

It does take some getting used to. I believe the VR28 are the lense of choice for cricket. I've only ever used black iridium and found it tricky so just gave up

I had never worn sunnies for anything, but bought some Oakley's 2 years ago and it took me a while to get used to the,

I got some Oakley radar's with g26 lens, which are a contrast lenses (they highlight red/orange and dampen green). I initially didn't really like them and tried to sell them. When that fell through I decided to give them another go and I'm glad I did as I got over that initial period and I love them now.

Depends on the lenses too. Contrast lens change your perception of things slightly (what I found), so they would take a bit longer than a standard lens.

Didn't bother me when I bought a pair last year, got some VR28 lenses this season and that hasn't either. For me it's definitely improved how well I pick the ball up, go for some contrast lenses that enhance red/green contrast and the ball jumps out of the background a lot more.

I have a pair of the rose coloured lenses (I can't remember the tinting name either VR28 or G30) and they are amazing for picking the red ball out against the green grass.

Our league has allowed us to use hi vis pink or orange balls. The spectators appreciate it too.

I field in sunglasses and use the Oakley VR28 lenses. I got used to them very quickly as I wear sunglasses when playing golf also.

I've used Oakley for 3 years now and I can't fault them. I use either a Grey lens or a Positive Red Iridium lens, the latter being my favourite! I've never found it has impacted my fielding ability and are a very good choice of sunglasses. They've also saved my eyes once this year after fielding at Short cover and having the ball deflect off my foot into my face, the Oakleys took the impact and didn't break, only the smallest of marks on one of the lenses...

I find light brightners work for me particulary on dark and overcast days always wear them on match days for fielding unless it's very bright sunlight.

I've got some Oakley Jawbones but no idea what lenses i have, any way i can tell? Also anyone recommend a good place to get some lenses from?

I have had a multiple radar paths, flack jackets and 1 m-frame all in various lens types. I have my glasses on when fielding and if the light changes you don't really notice much difference, my favorite has always been polrized black iridium lenses but others were just as good. New Prizms are by the far the best I have tried for cricket and got a pair recently.

@Vitas Cricket its the one for golf. I'll check it in an hour when I get a chance to go to my car for the exact one but its not polarized, I found prizm polarized was less bright than just the iridium coating one, will post a pic.

Local outlets to me don't have prizm yet, so i'm deciding whether to order online or schlepp to the London store to try some out. Many thanks for any input
