I used to know a guy who would hide his bat under his shirt if started to drizzle (lol) and NEVER let anyone use it.

Don't get me wrong, I like to look after my bats but it takes some serious wedge to buy 100 bats and all of top quality as well! even if they were an average of £120 (probably too low) thats £1,200 worth of bats!! lol

But you know what, This Thread Is Worthless Without Pics :D

... Your maths is well off chap. it would be about £12,000 worth. If we're being realistic, it'll be about £18-20k worth...

Yep - I think it's 105-110 currently!
And now that the season is over, I'll be taking lots more photos and updating my topic of bats linked very kindly by Cover_Drive in the last entry! So start looking from next week for more photos and mini-reviews of willow!  8)

I was so shocked/ excited about posting my last response I left out a Zero.

But looking at the inventory, even the £20k seems conservative. Some very expensive, exclusive, classic bats in that collection. Most of which don’t even look like they’ve sniffed at leather before...?

Do you also/ still play? If so, how on earth do you choose your bat for the match???

Although Pete will be the first to say he is fortunate to own such a collection, he is modest enough to never be so brash as to discuss value and cost.

Do him the same courtesy and enjoy the collection for what it is, not what it is worth. :)

I see the cricket forum police are out in full force again...  :(

You’re making it seem like I’m trying to make petehosk feel guilty about his collection?! Pete if that’s the impression I’ve given YOU then please be assured that’s not my intention.

You have a truly amazing collection and my curiosity about its value is mostly rhetorical. I’ve never come across anyone with such an extensive collection and it is natural (for me at least) to wonder about its value. But that’s not all I’m curious about. I do appreciate you sharing it...
