Sweet bat.

Tried to buy one myself but never got look with emails regarding shipping

I had two opportunities: M&H International that was posted on M&H Facebook for £500 or this. With international shipping to the U.S. , 40-something AUD, this one came out cheaper.

And by the way, those M&H big bats were made for Chris Gayle. He bought the heavier ones, 3 pounders, and left behind the 2-10-ers.

How is the pressing on this bat? Did you have to pay any import duty?

^ No duty.

Ping on the bat is as good as any pro bat I have owned...can't say how it is pressed. It is made by Stuart Kranzbuhler, he knows what he is doing.

I am absolutely rapt in mine: it weighs 2.14 with 2 grips and an extra-tec sheet and pings like a pingy thing from pingsville! (To borrow an oft-used phrase from on this forum) I've used it in a couple of games and am really impressed with it! It also is in my top 3 of best performers: M&H Amplus and Affinity Persona. It takes extra knocking in especially on the edges but is worth it. I was in GCCC the other day and they had a Warner replicas bat in stock: it weighed 2.14 as it comes, no binding on the handle but had edges at least 60-65mm! Not the prettiest timber but it tapped up beautifully.

"...solely to provide a surface suitable for gripping."
This refers to the interface between the batsman's hand and the handle. A rubber grip over the top of the cloth contravenes it.

Surely the argument is the tape supports the grip by preventing movement?

On the same note, the very well supported and advertised 'Grip Grip' goes underneath grips to keep them in place. Surely that shouldnt be allowed either?

This is insane. Spectacular bat, extremely tempted and allured by them.

What weight is this and how big are your edges?

Bob is a terrific guy, very knowledgeable about bats as well.

Interesting!! So what Gayle buys the blades from M&H and sticks Spartan stickers on 'em?

Doesn't Gayle use a LB LH bat, could be wrong but sure that was what I read before.
