Weight of a cricket bag for travelling abroad
« on: August 18, 2015, 07:54:04 PM »

Hi fella's

Im off to play cricket in Melbourne this winter, so obviously i'm going to be taking my kit with me.  My luggage allowance is 30kg, so i'm just wondering if anyone has travelled with a cricket bag before and how much it weighed?  Say if it was 1 of each item (pads, gloves, bat, helmet, etc).

Any ideas would be great

Cheers

You are going to need extra if you want to take clothes!

At £217 for an extra 5kg it won't be likely  :( :(

You would be better off posting some stuff by the sound of things...

I took a big Albion bag, Full kit, but only one bat, and enough clothes for a long weekend and it was under 20kg.

Don't forget hand luggage is another 10kg

I did look at buying some kit out there, but i was informed that most oversea's take there gear with them. Plus i've only just got some new pads and gloves, just really need a few more pairs of gloves and a helmet which i will buy out there.  30kg for luggage and 7kg for hand luggage so i'm sure i will be okay!

Buy a coffin. They're pretty light and sturdy
