« on: August 19, 2015, 11:05:39 AM »

Willey off to Yorkshire as mentioned in another thread. Who else is coming and going?

I read rumours of Rob Keogh and Ben Duckett off to pastures new.  I think its the last year of Duckett's contract.

I heard a murmur of Keogh to Essex, but we'd certainly welcome Duckett too, Foster has got to be thinking of retiring soon.

If Duckett goes he should move to a decent county. Certainly a div 1 Club. He's a good player. However with the financial issues Northants have he might be wise moving on. Didn't he get caught drink driving recently? Might hinder him from moving to far away.

Woah, Woah, Woah! Whats all this about? Essex is a damn good county!  :(

To be fair though, i'm not sure there are many Div 1 counties that need a Keeper, or that are going to need one in the very near future.

Haha, that wasn't sly dig at Essex - promise!!

I'm not sure how many years Chris Read has left in him at Notts and Wessells is an ok stand in keeper but they'd probably want a younger option. He might go there...

After all this, he'll probably stay.

Yeah, Notts was the one that sprung to my mind, but then remembered Wessels. Only other one could be maybe Warks? Ambrose isn't getting any younger and their back up is Pete Mckay, who i don't think is the best batsman, i might be wrong though.

Worcs would be a shout, Ben Cox does a decent job with the gloves but his batting isn't quite up to scratch lately (would love to see him improve though)

Being a Warks boy I think they're happy with Ambrose. Would be great if he came to us tho!!

I wonder how many other counties will follow Northants into oblivion

He certainly does, he was Zimbabwe's keeper until he 'retired'
