Released yesterday that Horton is to leave Lancs

Wonder where he will go? vastly experienced but getting on and is he better than current openers in Div 1 or 2?

I could see him falling into a coaching role but suspect hes far from ready to hang his boots up.

Also, I wonder what wage and ex-capped player would demand

Just a rumour but ive heard Phil Mustard may be looking for a new county for next season in search of 4 day cricket again.

Definitely going out on loan for the rest of the season, as for leaving for good next season I'm not sure

Gordon Muchall not to be offered a contract at Durham. For someone who has been a shining light in a poor batting card to not be offered a deal is astonishing.

think this came down to the daft amount they agreed to pay him pre-salary cap...

Would like to see Durham sign Paul Horton he surely cant do any worse than Keaton Jennings or Graham Clark who i would really say is more a middle order batsman.
Although the usual is that Durham cant sign anyone as they are skint!

Tremlett has announced his retirement so that is one departure.

Unfortunately for other counties that's not true. With an autistic son he doesnt see it suitable to uproot from home so should he leave Durham he leaves the first class game as a player at least.

I am a Jennings fan to be honest, but I don't get Clark. He's shown me nothing in the short forms and is batting out of position with no success at the top of the order in 4 day. I would love Horton at Durham but of course it wouldn't happen.

Yeah i do think Jennings will be a steady county player, i am the same with Clark not sure what they see in him really. Regarding Muchall i just put it down to a cost saving measure really i guess they are hoping Burhnam and Hickey can step up next year which im guessing they will be on considerably less than Muchall coming directly from the academy.

Colly not finishing soon? I bet he's on a decent wage and probably a few coaching gigs waiting.

Just signed on for another year. Funny really, last 2 year he's said he's retiring but been playing well so changed his mind, this year he hasn't played so well but not even mentioned retirement haha
