A little bit disappointed that the yellow livery has gone but an interesting reboot none-the-less.

Australian cricket bat youtube videos seem a refreshing change! Good summary of the bat without once saying how fantastic/awesome/pings through the roof it was, just talked about the bat and its' profile.

Iconic bat name, new one doesn't seem to bear much resemblance to the original though. Can anyone remember what the GM from the same era with purple stickers was?

You are right. It does bear much resemblence to the original profile. I have never really understood why GM tinker with their classic profiles: purist, purist II, F2 etc.

Taking a closer look, i would say this bat looks quite close to the GM Six6 which Joe Root used in ashes 2k15.

Picked up one of these the other day, really liking it so far, picks up nicely and the whole thing just feels like it's much sturdier compared to the Mogul I had last year.

Anyway, here are some pics, it's very pale, probably the palest bat I've ever had. I'm liking the colour scheme too, it looks much better than the pictures make it look, it's a sort of turquoise colour. Does anybody know how to resize these things?

I fished out my old Maxi from the 2006-07 era just to compare them, not that there's really all the much apart from the name.

Not yet! Nets start on Tuesday for me so will give it a quick knock in before then. I know it says 'pre-knocked in' but I didn't do it enough for my GM last year and damaged the toe in the nets, so won't be making that mistake again. The toes are a getting quite thin these days.
