Bassetlaw league team not far off a1
« on: August 26, 2015, 09:06:04 PM »

Not sure weather my lul for playing the game is age related or club related.

The fact I can't get enough of watching make me think 12 years at same club playing for same side and basically not far off a similar xi every week has kinda got boring.

I don't wanna play for anyone in my current league. And not really wanting syscl cricket either.

Which leaves Bassetlaw league.
Preferable not far off the a1 around Worksop

Anyone after a number 5/6 batsman that game is more suited to midweek but can come off well on a Saturday! Lol.
Happy to help out. Sat on committee. Been secretary, selection team, midweek captain etc etc.

Not looking for super competitive. Probably someone's second xi.

Chris - Have you considered Lincs League?

My team, Outcasts is only about 35 mins from Dotball and you'd be welcome.

We're building a new pavilion for next year and the ground is very picturesque.

We have 2 Saturday teams (Div 1 & Div 2), one Sunday team, mid week too.

First team are currently top of the league so we might get promoted

I can certainly relate to you first three sentences as I are considering  moving for the same reasons even though the  club as won the division and teamates are great  plus the headache of traveling to home matches and no longer having a car.

Just looked at the league website, the away games seem a trek. Grimsby and cleethorpes are a track for me(worked on the docks this morning. Took an hour 30mins to get there)

Bassetlaw league has a lot of teams on my door step, that I don't mind playing against. Just don't want to play for.
Not so much traveling that way.

But seriously, I used to play for Cleethorpes. Awesome ground that would be well worth the trip. Grimsby Town's alright too, and they're a decent set of lads
