Bat Repairs and Replica
« on: August 27, 2015, 12:29:05 PM »

At the end of this season i'm sending away my Kudos for a refurb and general tidy and im thinking of getting a replica produced. At the same time I will be sending away to team mates bats, an old Ace cricket bat that is more railway sleeper than a ninjas sword and a Slazanger Micheal Clarke that is held together with around 13 rolls of batting tape.

Who are your recommendations for this, I am leaning towards Ryan Kelsall as his bats look stunning but not heard anything about his repair work. Anyone got any experience with this or can recommend an alternative.

Cheers

I believe Red Ink have a very good reputation for this kind of thing.

I thought about B3 but being in Cumbria, Ryan (Wakefield) is slightly more accessible should I want to pop in.

Is there another part of Cumbria? I'm at work in sunny Workington right now.

Not that's worth mentioning anyways. I'm back to Gods country this evening currently working in the south of the county, not a patch on the West.

Good man. Who do you play for?

I play for Egremont mate (despite living in Ulverston for work). Could not see myself playing anywhere else locally. Who do you, no doubt we will have crossed paths before.

Haven't played weekend cricket for the past few years due to other commitments (looking to get back into it next season!) but I used to play for Baggrow & Blennerhasset and I still play for Isel in midweek (both out round Cockermouth/Aspatria area), village to my very core haha. Know a lot of folk around Egremont way (a lad in our band is from Egremont) but don't know a lot of cricketers out that way.

I used to play a lot of midweek cricket playing for a few teams, have played Isel on numerous occasions. Is the McGuffy Buffet still open or not?  Not played at Baggrow for a long time, probably not since juniors.

Haha! Class! No I've been skipper for the past few years so McGuffie only gets trundled out at the odd friendly nowadays unless we're ridiculously short, I would have loved to bat against him! I've been playing for Isel for about 12 years now so no doubt we've played each other before a few times, who did you play midweek for?
