Cricket in the USA
« on: September 10, 2015, 08:54:08 AM »

So looks like I'm moving to the USA around xmas/new year.

I'll be going to Atlanta, Georgia and wondered if anyone knew of any cricket out there.  I've been on the googles and there is a hard tennis ball league that seems pretty active.

Just putting it out there to see if any of you wonderful people know anything about it....of course moving to a new country will require buying a new bat!!!!!

Cheers

@i12breakfree might be able to help share some info although I don't think he is from where you are going, some other forum members from US as well.

Hello @play-yourself-in
cricket is big in atlanta as there is a huge south asian population. http://www.atlantacricket.org/ has info about local cricket teams.
http://www.cricketequipmentusa.com/ is a local store there for cricket equipment. I know the guy who sits at the store . Young lad, fine cricketer and he coaches juniors. I'll PM you my phone number. you can call or whatsapp if you need more info.
All the best with the move.
