Did you read the article? He appears to be back on track and ready to play. Not claiming Essex or Sussex did anything wrong but I'm sure a fit again Monty would be an asset to any club. Even on a pay as you play contract.

I was referring to the inference made by your choice of words, which I felt was blaming the county, and therefore I didn't think it was down to him that he is without a contract.
I think it's great if he's sorting himself out - however something doesn't add up here to me -
Monty saying to the media that he's back and good to go + Essex still deciding to release him = Too much hassle for the county to keep him on?
