never heard of it for a cricket bat before but I work in exports and any wood products into Australia need the wood treated in advance of sending to show it's free from bugs or any diseases, it's been a regulation for a long time.
this normally means any packing for the product has a forestry stamp on it to prove it's been fumigated.

there may be an alternative treatment for an actual cricket bat but it's a pretty strict regulation......

might be wrong but it Seems to me that your bat has been quarantined and they are going to treat it with a fungicide ( Methli Bromide ?) and maybe issue you a fumigation certificate

Interesting. I've never experienced this with my imports in the past.

Who was it shipped with?
DHL always try to scew you for a quarantine fee (which you can just refuse to pay and they won't pursue it).
Have never had an issue with any of the other carriers.

No photoshop.

Had to laugh at this!

22 years in this industry.

20 years as proprietor of my own business.

One of only 5 people in the state of Victoria to score 100% on secret customer service reports.

Numerous repeat customers.

I could go on, but it would cone across as boasting...
