That's good to hear, I just assumed with it being more wood meaning more money. Apologies

What are the shaped going from left to right?

Left Db2 2.9 , Middle Bespoke 2.95, Right Long Handled shortened Tonto Butterfly 2.105. GM grips are about 2.2 ounces on each bat with, some grip off cut under the handle to make the pickup even lighter.

Middle was designed by Adelaide, AUS rep Andrew Duffield. Streaky apparently reckons its a new Db1, but its only got a 1mm scope and a bit more wood higher above the meat.

Be interesting to know how long your gloves last, got a pair for my lad, used at indoor nets only, worn through on two of the fingers before even playing a game... so, we have virtually brand new gloves, useless to him. Had to get other gloves - another brand - when B3 didn't replace. Best of luck.

Hopefully I will cover all questions, but if I have missed anything please let me know and I will answer.

"Project Pepsi"
The idea was simple; to get a big bat light, after my magicians hat would only magic white rabbits and not willow I had to put my thinking cap back on and create a design that was big (and had an associated heavy dead weight) but actually felt light in the hands.

By playing around with the Centre of Gravity (COG) we have got to an "optimum" size vs pick up ratio, (the higher the COG the lower the Moment of inertia - the easier it is to rotate (swing)). As this bat is so big, the middle has to be high, but when you compare it to a “normal – mid swelled bat” there is still more volume lower down in the “pepsi”

Vital Statistics;
Weight start from 2lb 12.5oz – average weight would be 2lb 14oz, and can go up to 3lb 6oz Bear in mind that due to the design these “pick up” approx 2oz lighter (I would say a little more like 3oz)

Price – same as our normal bats (SERIES)

We have 6 currently being made in the factory for the showroom, we had one in the showroom but the first person that came in and saw it brought it.

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Streaky

All sounds good to me.

Just wondered what you meant by Average Weight - 400 density? and is the start weight determined by keeping to 50mm edge? Could you for example have a 45mm version at a lighter weight or a harrow length version at 2'11?

Theoretically too heavy for me - I'd like to see one though!  ;)

Hi Streaky,

What's your thoughts on bowing the blade. Does this improve pickup? If it does how come didn't use this?

Hi Nick,

Yup - average weight 400 density.

We can change the model anyway you like, but that then wont be a SERIES shape and cost you a little bit more (£50) for a BESPOKE design. You can however go to Harrow width / super short blade/LH and that will loose you approx 2 to 3 oz.

Chris,

Wont be a problem getting one that weight - bat makers dream.
