Season is over the kit is away for storage.
« on: September 27, 2015, 06:57:54 PM »

All whites are in the wash, softs had a good dry out and packed away, bats in the room they stay over the winter.

Which looks like this

Amusingly I still have a few to collect in that I lent out this season. A few b3s, the NB I got of soul man and a ton.

Think I need to invest in some kind of rack??

I think a rack is a great idea. Only that way can you fully appreciate the vast quantity of bats. Of course it will also give you a good look at the grains and help ensure that the bats don't accidentally knock into each other and cause damage.

The Ikea solution would be a galery rack, it works alright, but with the bulkier bats, they tend not to stand properly! What a collection. #BatDreams #Envy

I think a wardrobe-based rotary stand could be the solution.

How cool would it be to open the cupboard door, spin your rotary rack, stop it and pull out a blade.

Very Sexy!!!

I've seen a few people using things like these to hold up bats and seem to do a decent job

On the flip side, I am just getting my kit out for this season down under. :)

With you on this one! Surprisingly after the game last week, we've managed to get one last XI together for tomorrow and found gritty, foolhardy, gloriously insane counterparts to host us.

Had my best bowling of the season last week, so looking to kick on now.  :)

May have got some assistance from the fact that there is barely any light to speak off, batsmen can't feel their feet, let alone move them and the shivering almost guarantees its impossible to middle the ball.

My bats and my clothes compete for space in my Wardrobe. I have the one to store everything. My other half has eight wardrobes to store her clothes, plus half a room in which she stores her shoes, but if I have my bats out in the open anywhere, stored, they get threatened with the bin. Go figure.

My missus has 7 doors of the 8 doors of wardrobe available in our bedroom.

The wardrobe in the spare room is then used for her seasonal clothes(she swaps them over twice a year.

Loft for softs and that bench for bats is all I get, as she rarely uses the spare room, it isn't an issue. But if I leave one in the lounge or bedroom........ Argghhh
