Afternoon All,

The new 2016 Gray-Nicolls bats can now be viewed on our website: http://www.itsjustcricket.co.uk/gray-nicolls-m6

The eagle eyed amongst you will notice that it's not the complete range - we have only listed what we are planning to stock pre-Christmas - but can get our grubby mitts on anything of theirs when it becomes available next month.  We will also be getting some junior bats before Christmas but I haven't got those up on the site just yet.

We are taking pre-orders now, so if you spot something you like, or are interested in a grade/bat that isn't listed, please let us know.  Likewise if you have any queries at all about the range!  :) You could get your bat as soon as they come out (likely to be mid-late November) when we will be making our next trip to Robertsbridge, so Christmas presents should be considered!  ;) We can handpick one especially for you when we visit if you pre-order here: http://www.itsjustcricket.co.uk/cricket-bats-c17/senior-cricket-bats-c18/deposit-for-new-2016-cricket-bat-of-your-choice-hand-picked-p779

As always, we only require an £80 deposit upfront to secure this service, so they are a bit more affordable than normal when you order this way!  :)

I'm a sucker for a retro bat so the GN500 is mighty tempting. Hopefully they get the stickers in the scoops right. The first Dynadrive re-releases had awful misaligned stickers which did my OCD head in...

the description for the Legend says: "Full Convex Profile - ensures a very wide sweet spot". that is not correct, is it? Looks quite conCAVED in the pics (and from what we've seen in the past)

good point. they seen to vary. We tend to only pick the full ones, much like the one we reviewed back in May, so felt that would be a better description. At least for us anyway..

One question - the LITE option ones says grade 2 and they are only available till weight 2-9. So grade 2/3 will not be coming in heavier options ?

I fancy a GN but would like to know what the quality of wood is like. It is the old catch 22 situation. Some bats I have seen haven't looked great for their grade.

to be honest, overall it's not the best, but there are always gems to be found and we have a good track record of finding them when we visit! Just ask our GN customers!

yes, but only in the 4 and 5 star grades instead. We can get these too, Amit, if required...

Gotta be honest the only GN bats that compare favourably with the kind of bats people on here have become accustomed to are the custom made ones retailers like Uzi and Vitas get hold of. Literally worlds apart from the stock off the shelf jobs. I bought an E41 Asad had made and it is an absolute cannon. It barely fitted into the bat cave of my bag it was so huge and only weighed about 2.11.  Likewise with a dynadrive he had at the same time, I agonised over which one to buy as they were such stunning bits of wood, the standard issue models I've seen of the same bats were significantly poorer. But you get what you pay for. (If you go through a good retailer such as the chaps found on the forum).
