Have you been buying more kit Chris lol!

Nothing really changed apart from selling a load of net kit and my bats from last season. With the proceeds I brought some bats:-

All approx 2'10.4-7 starting weight.
All harrow length.
Red Ink - 2'10.4 - Spine 70mm, Edge 44m, no concaving
RK - 2'10.4 - Spine 75mm, Edge 32mm, minimal concaving
B3 - 2'10.7 - Spine 60mm, Edge 45mm, concaving in splice area

Also brought some SD Bargains for netting:-

F18 - sh 2'9
Six6 - sh - 2'11

Were B3 pretty accommodating with the dropped shoulder bat Nick @uknsaunders ?
Have been thinking about trying one but not many options around

These must be the best grade 3 bats I have seen yet. I bet they all go pretty well too.

No expert with a mallet or ball bouncing but they all seem to go ok. I've done a bit more knocking in on the Red Ink but the RK seemed responsive out of the box. The b3 seems ok as well but with barely any knocking in. Totally agree on the G3 grading, using batmakers on the forum gets you generous grading and a bigger than average bat (with some imagination  ;)).

This is my kit for 2016 season.

Bats:
Laver and Wood - 2lb 15oz - Visited the workshop when I was travelling round NZ and ordered this bat. We debated the weight I needed and he made me a 2lb-10oz - the bat which currently ways 2lb-15oz. Never really used, could never quite wield it. Been debating whether to sell or get the weight reduced. I only kept it as a memento and if I have weight reduced I will lose the stickers which feels like part of the point.

Salix - Hand made - was 2lb 8 when I started using, after several refurbs it now weighs about 2lb 7oz. It's special. It has a split straight through the toe and half way up which has been repaired and I can't bring myself to let go. For me the best bat I've ever picked up. Don't think it is replaceable. Tried 6 times.

Salix 'Pod' - 2lb 12oz - Heavy for me but I am hoping to use as my match bat through 2016. Bought on a visit, to pick up a bat for a team mate after he won the club raffle kindly offered by Salix.

Salix 'Torque' - 2lb10oz - probably the ugliest grain wise with a big piece of heartwood and an unusual stain. Best looking shape of the four, goes really well and scored a lot of runs.

@Tailendfielder we have lots of Salix bats at 2'7, some even 2'6 and 2'5 if you did want to try one more time to replace old faithful? ;)
