Both were bought off one of the forum members who was having a clear out due to redundancy. Must say they go like a train! bit firm at the moment but i reckon a bit of breaking in will only better their performance. Originally i thought the stickers would be plain and garish but in actual fact they are embossed and very nice sky blue which meet flush with the anti-scuff, very very impressed for my first purchase of a kippax

I would be so annoyed of my GM LE looked like that, in fact I would be annoyed if my 808 model looked like that.

Like i said previously, I had got it so cheap that it didn't really bother me that much as it's made me enough money to go off and buy a couple of other sticks comfortably! already sold it on and have not had them complain about grain, I reckon they are more interested in the label than anything else!

I only live 2 miles from Lorimers, theres been a few times i've been in and wasn't impressed with the OLE's they had. Decent sized blemishes on the playing area, yet some of the ones posted on here have looked perfect

I have noticed that as well! I think they hold a lot larger stature in the online market for what they don't show people in the store! noticed the presence of some top quality sticks on their social media pages (probably to drum up the interest). I must say though, with the GM stuff I think I am correct in assuming whichever retailer sells them just has a lottery for the looks of the blades they receive. Fortunately, so far I have been able to get some nice looking sticks with no blemishes etc  :D Grain count aside

So here are my 7 bats that I have bought in the last 6 months or so:

Newbury Platinum from It's Just Cricket - 2lb 9.5oz
SS Limited Edition from OnlineStockist sale - 2lb 9.5oz (with 2 grips)
GM Mana 606 from Vitas Cricket - 2lb 9.5oz (with scuff sheet)
B3 Bespoke 2 stripe in 50% deal - 2lb 8.5oz (with scuff sheet)
Hammer Beserker ST LE from eBay SQ Sports - 2lb 9oz
Warner replica shape from OnlineStockist Facebook page - 2lb 14oz
BDM custom shape from OnlineStockist - 2lb 11oz (with scuff sheet)

I think I will probably end up keeping 3 of them, almost certainly the Newbery and B3 and one other. B3 picks up best. SS is probably most impressive size-wise and has the best grains. Warner replica is massive but heavy. A bit of choosing to do before I flog some to my club mates or stick one or two on eBay.

@ridhuan hi, I put a review of my B3 in the B3 50% off bargain thread the other day. Hope you can find it! It is a great bat. Shorter blade, just like the Mana.

Hi @JG , that was me!  Managed to get a job 1 month after being made redundant which was a relief.  Only temporary until April for now though so only went for a 1 stripe on the B3 50% offer.  :-[

Glad the Kippax' are going ok.  Must admit, I was like a kid in a sweet shop when I visited their setup near Leeds! :D

I'm glad to hear you got yourself a new one! No need to flog off anything else like your new 1 stripe (to me)  ;) My friend is using the lighter one although he is a bigger lad and i've used the other one! Being in York I am quite tempted to make a trip to their workshop to pick up some more kit....

It seems like every week I am finding more stuff to blow my student loan on  :D

Yeah, I've kept a Colossus and a PureBlade for myself.  They were going to be my match bats for this season.  But have the old faithful Nixon, the B3 1 Stripe, and an Aldred so who knows what I'll be using?!  Have Kippax softs so if I decide to use a different bat, I will obviously need new softs!!  :D :-[

Also waiting for a little something from @Ryan that I'm rather looking forward to. :)
