Best idea is to ask one of the forum sponsors! they are more in the know on these sorts of things in terms of versatility of the bag etc. Especially when the majority of us are heading up the duffle bag revolution  :D

I could imagine! Its a lovely collection you have there and being a bit of a purist myself, those softs are very easy on the eye
Best softs I've ever used and by all accounts this years Custom range are just as good if not better!

I've seen a few reviews and was wondering how the fit would for someone with a larger build but of average height?

Hmm not sure, I'm pretty well built but I'm about 6'3" so I may not be best placed to offer advice. Although saying that more of my height is in my torso than my legs (if that makes sense?!) and the pads are a good fit on me!

haha thats fair enough, I wouldn't worry to much but is there any significant size differences between the H4L and any other makes you may have previously used?

Can't say I've noticed a difference mate so I'd reckon they come up pretty average size-wise.

Still working on my kit for the season as a change in direction that presented an opportunity to good to turn down has meant I'll be picking up a few new bits before nets start in the 1st week in Feb 😀

Why so mysterious?

Haha Yes mate, he's on good form and I'm keeping him busy by adding some business acumen to the mix. We're not just working out the 250% profit margins on everything in time for the season  :-[

A very talented bloke but by his own admittance he has his hands full and in order to further things some areas he will need assistance with. Rather than me starting up our own softs etc again after nearly 3 years off it makes sense to team up with a bat maker with a v strong reputation for quality and help to grow the brand organically with him.

Looking forward to it as what I've seen so far has left me very impressed.....otherwise I wouldn't have said yes to the opportunity 😄

The first cricket box was used in 1874.  The first cricket helmet was introduced in 1974. So, it took 100 years for men to twig that their brains were also worth protecting.

Back on track, one of the new acquisitions has rocked up today and Oh my, my! is it big!

Basic bits:
Weight:       2-11.3
Edge:      ~ 40mm
Spine:     ~ 63mm

Picks up a lot lighter than the weight on the scales with the classic puma oval handle! Will stick another grip on there and a scuff sheet... Might go all out and stick some shoe goo on the toe. I'm pretty happy with the Ebay purchase @£156  :D Happy Days  :D

Classic sticking issues with the puma, little bit of bubbling on the back but all in all seems ok, still needs some knocking in but if my last pumas are anything to go by I reckon it could be a big boomer!  :D
