Is the additional weight on that SS the sticker on the back?...  ;)

Probably! seeing as the Laxman is noticeably bigger you would have thought it was the other way around

SS World Cup is Kashmir willow. If you look at the sticker on the face it says genuine willow and English willow. Nothing to do with the weight just as observation. Nice bats there

Stuff for this season - I only normally have 2 bats as match bats but got suckered into the B3 voucher 😀

Bats
GM Epic
Affinity modified Carbine shape
B3 custom
Black cat Jester for mucking about with - this was a mates who broke the edge and repaired it very badly so it ended up in my kit bag - only used it in a game once (batted 3 overs and got 30 odd as just teed off).

Softs
B&S GP274 which I used the 2nd half of last season

Bag
GN supernova duffle - treated myself to carry loads of kit around the countryside

other stuff - couple of pairs of shoes (Nike blue and white bowling boots from a couple of years ago and the NB white and blue ones bought off the for sale page last week), Stretton fox thigh pads, Shrey helmet

Been trying hard to behave, and have in fact sold quite a lot of kit! So far since the end of last season I have sold:
Two bats (Recoil and Kahuna carbon)
Albion helmet
Four pairs of gloves (2 kooka, 1 onlinestockist and 1 crusader)
Flix thigh pads
Blank pads and crusader pads.

Only bought one bat (Ice 850) which I couldnt resist/was a bit tipsy when it was finishing late on Boxing day... and a lot of kit as my club has switched to AllRounder.

Match kit is now:
Helmet: Masuri Vision Test Ti (single bar)
Pads: Impulse 950
Gloves: Impulse 950 and Impulse Players
Thigh pads: Kook players
Spikes: Nike Lunar Dominate
Bats: 2x Impulse 950 (2lb8/9 and 2lb10, heavier on ebay atm), GM Flare Original now stickerless apart from an Opening Up sticker (2lb9).

Pics will follow.

Spare kit at present amounts to:
Masuri helmet which I'm keeping for if I ever have to keep or if I'm in danger on the bowling machine.
Ice Sub Zero/850 pads, gloves x2 and bat
Kook players thigh pads (currently on ebay)
Puma Evospeed in yellow and blue, Adidas SL22.
Rogue 850 bat which may be sold
Blade 950 with Ricochet stickers, should sell it but I got my first ton with it so can't bring myself to do it!
I'm repairing a Puma Iridium 5000 a team mate left at the clubhouse as broken, seeing if I can't suprise him with a proper fix (with his permission)

Kit for selling:
MSR pads
Neon keeping kit
Kooka CCX 900 bat
Possibly a Rogue 850 bat
Kooka Genesis Hurricane depending on if I am feeling sentimental
GM OLE gloves

I have retired my Ice Sub Zero bat (again) after six years hard use especially after a team mate smacked it into a net post when nearly new and has caused it to split up the spine :( I spoke to Newbery about it whilst working at Hove and they said it would probably suddenly break so I'm not taking the risk.

Plenty of temptation around, loving the plain softs from H4L, Phantom and others, like the Legget and Coe kit, but saw the Phantom Shadow earlier and love the look of that!

As promised:

Left to right in preference: 2lb8/9, 2lb9, 2lb7, 2lb10

NB. It is a coffee stain on my thigh pads, it has been commented on before!

A few extra bits for coaching with

With coaching at the moment my MPG is down quite a lot as I'm having to transport the bowling machine around... Not much space left!

After much chopping and changing, here is my set-up for this year (I'm sure it won't change at all!!)

Main kit:

OLS blank pads and gloves - really pleased with these for the money, very soft and flexible, and the pads feel really snug against the legs + lightweight.

SS Matrix gloves - so, so comfortable - head for Asad if you want a pair of these!

Some kind of plastic Albion helmet, pretty damn comfortable and I like it!

Aero P2 strippers - am beginning to lose enough belly for these to actually work, and not end up around my knees!!

Prostar Bag - stand up wheelie with internal, padded bat pockets - cannot recommend these enough for the price, compact size, yet swallows up a lot of kit!

And now the weapons!!

My beloved Warbird - 2.9lbs and the best bat I've ever had. It suits me perfectly and picks up like a feather
BDM Somethingorother - 2.8lbs, slightly higher sweetspot, but again picks up so light. No concaving at all.
SS MAster 7000 - 2.9lbs, big old lump, but truly my favourite shape at the moment - love the SS branding.

Looks suspiciously like the boot of my car. Any more kit and I'd say we both need to upgrade to large 4WDs.

Weve had to update the car after investing in a couple of 60+kg dogs, good job really as this forum has doubled my gear in a bloody month
