Yellow ones are a tad softer/lighter than the red ones, but still bloody hurt if you get hit.
Man up! ;) Nothing like getting hit with a real cricket ball, I've absolutely belted one into a bloke's face at very short range in a game and he was fine once he'd got over the shock ha.

@Woodyspin Maybe, they work well bowling off a short run like indoors and to bat against, feel very different to bowl with off a proper run due to the lightness though. Pretty sure the league gets them direct from India in bulk, don't know where you can buy them in the UK.

Might have to buy a yellow ine and see how that goes, bowling at my indoor nets it pretty much pointless

Other than Matt's workshop, there probably won't be anywhere with as many H4Ls in the same place at any one time  :D

@wayward_hayward that's a bit different to the picture of your helmet you just texted to me, there were more fleshy coloured bits in the other photo!  ;)

I don't know whether it is a perspective issue but that helmet looks massive!

@WalkingWicket37 surely its got to be close though? A fair bit of fleshy colour and man-bush below the helmet has got to be a close representation of what I assume you saw  ;) plus its starring right at you  :-[ (how risqué)

Pretty similar indeed, but a couple more fleshy coloured bits of tape in the picture I was sent

The helmet is a large size, I need slighter thicker internal padding to make it a bit more snug.

@Ayrtek Tom have you tried the asics shop at Clarks village in Street?, it might be a bit of a trek for you but could be worth it.
I got a pair of gel strike rate 3's in an 8 1/2 for £32, a mate picked them up for me so I'm not sure what their stock is like but you could find yourself a bargain and there's brownie points to be had if you take the family for a days shopping.
