Well, these arrived. More comfortable after shifting a half size up

Also got my Adidas jumper, bloody hell they're warm. Maybe a little tight but will have to try on with a shirt tonight...

I ended up using these last season, a mate brought them and got abuse and he's not into abuse so stopped playing. I offered a trade with my plain ones (new that year too etc) and we swapped. Meant he kept playing and people have yet something else to go off about at me. It's ok though, this year I'll instantly keep reporting it to the umpire. Hopefully they'll start enforcing the no personal abuse stand umpires are supposed to take

'No personal abuse' stand? There ought to be a 'no stupid shoes' stand.

I mostly think people who 'sledge' in amateur cricket are whoppers. But I could make exception.

If I get sledged for wearing shoes that aren't white I'll just laugh about it, DGAF

Depends; I love a bit of banter. Makes the day go a bit quicker if it's a dull one in the field!

Bit if you give it, you gotta take it!

That's not a reasoning though, what happens if someone doesn't give any?? Will 'you' respect that or gob off anyway? Banter is fine, just do it with your mates and leave the Oppos out of it ? They aren't your mates after all so why talk to/about them?

Anyway, I think the sledging has been done to death.. You are either for it or against it and there is no middle ground because people unfortunatley can't distinguish between humour and sledging

My take on it is hammer your mates on your team as much as possible and just ignore the opposition....the old "he's fishing", "he's only got one shot" rubbish just makes me a bit embarrassed to be honest.

Good-natured banter is fine. It's the people who 'sledge' (dish out unrefined verbal abuse) because they've heard that it"s what the pros do, that I find nauseating.

It only started about ten or fifteen years ago when it became a regular topic of conversation on TV.

Little miffed that they haven't come with a spike key though, not sure whether that's NB or PDC's fault.

They quite often fall out through the holes in the new balance boxes unfortunately.

Four days after ordering, and receiving payment confirmation, and I have heard literally nothing from Legget besides my paypal receipt and order confirmation. Have sent in an enquiry, but if I hear nothing for another couple of days I will be less impressed by the service than I already am! Their t's & c's page says postage next business day, or within two if ordered at the weekend or a public holiday.
Kit better be damned good if/when it does turn up!
