My only 2 bats currently. Will do a proper review of them at some point but I've been very lucky as 1 of them has come straight out of a current county players bag. Which shows you they don't all use a million grains

Still not completely sorted my kit but it'll be a mix of the following once I finally decide!

Bats

Gloves
B&S GP274
New Balance DC1080
Neon Pink

Do Woodworm no longer do the small curves at the top of their sticks? Gutted.

It's probably not made as a Woodworm.

My kit for 2016

About a year ago after a 15 year break from cricket I joined the forum and a few weeks later I bought some kit - lightweight own brand gloves and pads from Vinay at VKS, a great duffel from Gary at B&S, and a V1200 Fusion from Kevin at Sports Direct (they hand pick all their bats don't you know 😉)

So this is what I had for the start of last season.

Fast forward a year and mainly due to this forum I have developed a serious kit addiction  - the first thing a new joiner should see when they sign up is a warning - This forum may  cause serious harm to your bank balance.

First up the bats:
B3 3 stripe TKC 2.12
Aldred Spectre Players 2.10
Bradbury Ex-pro bat 2.10
H4L Tempo MK2 2.9
B3 2 stripe (shape 11) 2.8

Haven't decided yet which will be my match bat - I will probably just chose one when I see the track and depending how I feel that day.

Softs and accessories
Aldred pads and gloves - for match
P2 Aeros
VKS ultralight OSM pads and gloves - for nets

GN Supernova duffel (match)
B&S Assegai duffel (nets)

GM Pro Select helmet

NB4030 spikes

Not bad for a bowler...........pity no one else at my club is a kit badger so the only comments I get are - why have you got so many bats - they are just so uneducated!

See you've kept the Aldred softs @Chalkie  some nice kit / willow.

I've also upgraded my B&S duffle with an accompanying supernova duffle 👍

What happened to the "Hand Picked" Slaz? Presume it's now propping a door open?

My first bat was a GN Evo Slayer from SD, absolute plank it was, wasn't fit to prop open a door tbh. If I'd have taken the grain sheet off before burning it, I'd have probably found it was made of MDF.

I covet my neighbours H4L Tempo... Could I "Borrow" it?  :D

I had considered swapping the Aldred softs for B3 or H4L through the forum but never got round to it - they are also feel really nice so very happy with them ( not actually used yet though).

I like the B&S duffel, it stands up better than my Supernova, think it's the difference in thickness of the material they are made from, but it just isn't big enough for all my match day kit.

Sold the Slaz to a team mate - it was actually pretty decent. I have also had about 5 other bats since the start of last season and sold all on.

The Tempo is a recent addition, I have been admiring others H4Ls all winter and just had to get one. I haven't used it yet but taps up really nicely. Expect it will be my match bat when pitches get a bit harder and faster later in the season.

Those bright BAS gloves are sweet. I thought about getting a pair too.
