Bat warranty could be a good option. Common sense needs to prevail with how long the warranty should be and what is exactly covered. Splitting after 3 months obviously needs to be covered... Shall watch this space. Moving on from Millichamp slightly, when is the Newbery range going to be announced?

It already has been, and as it happens, I am visiting them tomorrow to pick more bats!

Perfect. I know they've announced the Blitz and the new stickers. Just wanted to know the softs really, and the ranges of the Blitz. :-)

Here's a good one, just received through this weeks M&H newsletter:

We're offering our newsletter subscribers 30% off all Short Handle and Junior International Bats. Simply use the discount code MHINT15 at checkout to claim your discount.

With its enormous blade, it's easy to see why the International has been our most popular bat in 2015. Featuring the professional’s profile of choice, the International maximises performance in all conditions and formats of the game.

So popular that you're discontinuing it for 2016.

Of course M&H, of course.

Why would a company own all the machinery needed to make a cricket bat, including a press, but then not use any of that expensive kit and outsource instead?

How many people making the past few comments have actually been to their workshop?

I think the real issue is that they not had any one who can make from the raw cleft so makes sense to use part made bats from India so they can get the dry willow to make the 55 MM and with a thine handle and poor finishing maybe they just keeping the machines to hide their little secret

Not sure if it's the case now but a few years ago I believe the issue was not knowing how to use or maybe best use the equipment to make a quality product. Like I say not sure if it's the case now in fact I believe it's not but like a day a few years ago that was the case.
The new pink/blue model is slowly growing on me shame about the price not growing on me.

Gray Nicolls? Hunts County? Just because they own the machinery doesn't mean they make all in house.

We should however be very careful on throwing around accusations without hard evidence to back it up. It's very damaging to the few who do make all their bats in house.

I would have been very tempted had it not been for the price. Am sure most people have issues with that. Personally, have always wanted to try the Amplus

I have seen the machinery being used to make bats there as well, hence why I asked about who's actually visited to witness first hand and prove me wrong. I agree, accusations are flying around with insufficient evidence imho!
