These sites are legitimate. It just depends as to how the export is declared, sometimes they can just be declared as cricket bats without a brand or shape mentioned. Either way very interesting

News to me as kicking horse were making them the last time I checked

there was someone on here recently whose girlfriend/wife bought him one of those 'experiences' where you go down, pick a cleft and have a bat made for you there and then. Therefore, they must be some bats made there.
Additionally, when I was there a few months ago looking for a toe guard the workshop door was open. Although no-one was in there working, they certainly had all the machinery needed to make bats.
We should probably be a little more reserved in our criticism until we know for sure that the amplus shapes were destined for M&H. It could be someone who has got that particular shape copied abroad and importing them to sell through eBay and the like. That said, In my opinion Their attitude, illegal 'no warranty' policy and prices deserve the criticism they have received.

They did sell some machinery last year on ebay, because I bought a drum sander from there

The Amplus is much more of an issue and will be investigated very seriously this end.

Just read about the Import website. This is crazy.  The first line from their website says "Millichamp and Hall specialise in manufacturing award winning bespoke cricket bats and hand-make every single one of our bats in our workshops at the Somerset County Cricket Ground in Taunton, Somerset."
Hope we get some official word on it.

Depends on your definition of hand make? I suppose sanding and stickering might count. Agree, its very concerning though.

I don't think this is particularly helpful Roco - I know for a fact that the directors of Kicking Horse do not ever divulge who they make for.

With ping like ours, such knowledge would be very dangerous on the open market.

The exact contents or name may not always be put on the shipping manifest(a company may request they not to due to pesky forum members). Lots may be merely under a non descript name "cricket bat English willow sharp 11"


Check the dates, beginning of 2015 they shipped, when was it called the amplus and when did it switch to mh09?


Someone inported a 100 amplus shaped non finished cricket bats at the beginning of 2015, they may well be fakes. Who knows.
How many do we reckon millichamp sell a year? 

Personally I thought ijc should know as if there being lied to. It's not the way to do business.

initial investigations suggest they are Amplus shaped bats imported by another seller, possibly an eBay only type, I don't know.

The quantities do look very low and the fact that the other models aren't there suggest that there isn't much to be read into this.  I should know more soon...
