Personally anything will be an improvement on Prior-  I really dislike the guy, his ego deserves its own postcode.

I actually feel that Geriant Jones is very underestimated! People forget that he was a good servant to England! He made a couple of mistakes but because it was at international level is was noticed more. If you watch him on TV now he is a fantastic keeper!!

I like the way
No doubt Kieswetter will be playing for England, rightly or wrongly. I personally feel Davies is a better shout for the ODI side but I don't make those decisions.
Just in the context of purely being a gloveman Kieswetter is absolutely nowhere near world class.

I like the way davies bats, hes seems a lot more 'solid' than keiswetter

Yeah, agree.
People seem to have this idea that Kieswetter is a much bigger hitter than Davies, when Davies actually strikes at a quicker rate than Kieswetter in List A cricket.
Factor in superior glovework and the fact that Davies doesn't bat on a road at Taunton for all his home games and that's why I think Davies is a better shout.

Foster is the best 'keeper in the world, as a pure 'keeper.
Haddin is dreadful, and ugly at best.
I also really rate Dinesh Ramdin as a 'keeper because he 'keeps on such bad tracks and generally does well.
Can someone post the Fozzy stumping off Napier up?
Cheers Nick

I think you forget that Davies is English.......Kieswetter is a Saffer and will therefore walk straight into the setup!

I can't find the Fozzy/Napier stumping but i'm sure the game was Essex v Hampshire NWPro40 on 3 September 09. The batsman stumped was James Vince who was on 93

I read an article a few years ago when he first broke in to the set up and it spoke of his ego being huge (he used to sign autographs with his squad number, a la Beckham 23, when he had only played in a couple of games). He just didnt come across well, and that bad press has stuck with me; he has done nothing to change my opinion, and does seem to have a big ego.

happy to be proved wrong though...

My favourite all round keeper, including batting, though, is Brendon McCullum, a great allrounder.
apparently he used to keep Dan Carter out of the team as schoolboy rugby players.
