from bb website...
b20: The shorter fatter brother of b2, this the headline grabber. Only available in a 1.5 inch short blade/longer handle version it increases of wood in the blade ensuring a bigger sweetspot for the same weight.

Blankbats are a bit quiet on here these days, so I'm not sure how many of us have become aware of this new variant.

You cannot go wrong with BB.

The b20 is our version of a t20 bat, shorter blade, larger profile, but overall short or long handle length. Usually made to spec / order only.

I've been slack.
BB T20 arrived last week.
Pictured with a Carbine that I had shortened and my old BB T20 which has been used for the last 2 seasons.
Have had a very short net session with the new BB. The response is better than the previous BB which is a gun.

On a slightly different note, are BB getting their bats made somewhere new? The toe and shoulders on the new bat appear different in those photos.

Full net session tonight. This is a seriousy good stick. Cannot recommend BB highly enough.

From left to right:
Custom MMi - really sweet piece of willow (thanks Jake),
Thruxton SPS - 2.11
Laver Reserve - 40mm edges, no concaving (wickets-then-runs)
BBT20 - 2.10
B3 Pepsi Crown Willow (wickets-then-runs)
Legend Warner profile (wickets-then-runs)

That's some mighty impressive willow Shane! How does the B3 profile compare to the GN warner?

They look very similar. Wickets-then-runs should be able to tell you about how they play. I haven't hit with either - not really my weight.

they are almost identical! The B3 has a bit more wood up around the shoulders and spine area so picks up a bit better than the Warner but it also has a bit more concaving as well. The B3 weighs in at 2.12 and taps up nicely: I'm in such poor form that even when I tap a bat up I only find the edges at the moment...  :(
The B3 overall is a beauty!
