Help me spend some hard earnt
« on: October 27, 2015, 11:26:48 AM »

Have been really impressed with the collective knowledge on the forum, so I hoping I can tap into it for some advise.
Looking for a new bat, know what I like but not sure where if find it.

Wants
mid to low low middle
semi oval handle
full(ish) profile
weight 2.7 and Half to 2.8 and a bit, has to pick up well even with the low middle
not concern about edge size or looks of willow would prefer a ugly blade which goes

am I dreaming? or is the bat available?
suggestions please

Paul Aldred butterfly, maybe silver sovereign profile. Never had a bad one can't go wrong for 170 quid.

Devils officially start at 2'10, the odd 2'9 but mostly 2'10+

@well past my peak

Virtually anything is possible, the key question is how much you are looking to spend? Our custom made package from Hunts might be worth a look, we've done the odd 2'7 with smaller edges. You can even have the bat made in front of you at no extra cost.

I can make something to those specs pretty easily. Drop me a pm if you want to discuss.

Id suggest talking to John at Red Ink.

He could probably custom make this shape in his G3 wood (which is still decent looking) for a very competitive price.

Good to see some sensible suggestions for a change, usually people start suggesting overweight high middled bats in this scenario.

You say you are based where the next Ashes winners are, so you are in Yorkshire then?
