Winter nets at The Ageas Bowl or Serious Cricket (Dummer)
« on: October 28, 2015, 10:30:40 AM »

Calling all proper Southerners

As the "Southerners" on here all want to net in London (which is past Winchester, so up north!) I thought I'd see if there was any interest in nets at either the Ageas Bowl or Serious Cricket in Dummer (near Andover).

Anyone up for netting with a fat no hoper (just to confirm, that is me) please let me know!  :)

Cheers

Dummer (Basingstoke) would be good for me and my trunkful of willow!  ;)
Have been there twice in the last 3 weeks anyway, so will encourage me to keep going!

And was born a proper Southerner (in Hampshire) but now live up North (in Oxford)  ;)

I have a mental weekend on 7th November as Go Live with new release, so that day is absolutely out!
But other Saturdays are possible!
BTW, for a crisp blue £5 note of the Queens money, you can hire a bola machine for an hour so save bowlers legs!
Therefore (including bola) it would be £30 per hour. And for info, Net 1 is by far the best net to hire!

So Pete is seemingly easy
@RoCo Da Pixie the more the merrier! What Saturdays are you free?
@FattusCattus when's good for you Bruce?

And shall we book 2 hours so we get a decent bat/time to natter?  :)

Cam,

Most weekends I can make free in November. December is a struggle due to social activities.

Me, easy? That's just a rumour!!
And 2 hours if there are 3 of us. If there are 4 or more, then maybe 3 hours?

I want to bowl as well, so perhaps a combo of bowling and the machine.

Saturday's are fine for me Cam.
