We have started adding products into our EOS Sale section and so far done almost all the senior bats. This will be followed by Junior bats and then pads and gloves. Genuine question, a friend of mine was chatting with Rob Hawk recently, and he said Hawk said to not buy a bat in a end of season sale, as the willow will have been sat around for so long it would have dried out. I for one don't think it will make a great deal of difference and think it's a bit of sales patter from Hawk, and I said I didn't see how it was any different to a bat sat in my garage for winter. Just  wondered on anyone else's thoughts

Good point sorry Asad I meant no harm to your business! Maybe admin can move it for me, as you could tell I'm a bit new to the forum... But yeah I reckoned it was complete tosh from hawk too

I can assure you that, having been down to see Asad, all the bats in his shop are tremendous! He takes great pride in stocking quality willow

I know Rob and that seems an odd thing for him to say unless he meant in comprasion to having one handmade to order with a minimum time between order and completion.

I have heard similar statements from some of my team mates. I don't buy the argument though ... My best bats are the ones purchased in a bargain sale. I bought a Kahuna 1000 bat (2012 model) in 2014 Jan clearance sale. The seller prepared the bat for me - oiled + knocked and i have been using it for almost 1.5 years without any issues.
