Bad Behavior & Massive Bans

Anyone from the Worcester area know what happened in this game? That's some pretty hefty bans and penalties so must have been pretty terrible from some of these players and it just set me thinking; what's the worst behavior you've seen on a cricket field and what happened after the umpires filed their reports?

Not related to the game about but they seem to have had other stuff go on

Can only assume it's something of a similar nature...

Wow that's some punishment!

Best ban I've ever seen was one in the Welsh leagues last season (I think) that was officially reported by the club as a 3 match ban for 'poisoning the umpire's guide dog'

Not actually playing for Kempsey at the moment mate, live down in London now! Play the odd game when I'm back up but not a regular sadly - who do you play for?

You'll be in for a surprise playing Kempsey, the team is outrageous at the moment - the O'Neill's are easily good enough for Birm League

This actually had a knock on effect to my club as Pelsall were safe originally, and as they had points deducted and are now relegated it sent us down from the Staffs league too (we would've only stayed up by default anyway). I know 2 of the lads who have been banned, have played with and against them for years. I won't comment on what I have heard happened though as I didn't witness it myself so it's only hearsay.

Even though this was related to the same club it was spectators that caused the violence and not the players as in the case of the ban!

Don't worry I've been keeping a close eye on div 4! Fully expect Kempsey to be top half of the table next season. I play for Old Vigs, my old muckers Trist and Adam plus the O'Neils should be a pretty fearsome combo! Shame you're not back more often as they got promoted. See if you can make it back for the new road game, if there's a county match on there's always a half chance of getting on the telly when the cameraman gets bored!

When I was playing for my junior club's third XI the captain got an 11 game ban for arguing with the umpires during one particularly heated game.

My current club's first XI skipper got a 10 game ban for dissent during a game last year. All he did was get between the opposition batsmen and one his own players when the batsmen decided to get their handbags out over being moaned at for moving the screen every ball. The batsmen themselves only got 3 games each.

in our league thou, if a player gets a ban for whatever incident, the captain also gets a ban regardless of whether he has done anything wrong or not.

At first I thought this was an unfair rule(ive captained myself) but now I think it's right. Captains are basically responsible for their own players.

eg. if a player got a 3 game ban for aggressive behaviour, the captain would get a 1 or 2 game ban also....

Ahh nice, I actually started the revolt of various players leaving the clubs to join Kempsey - me and Adam (I presume you mean Hunaban!) left Old Elizabethans to go over to Kempsey and then Tristan/Zak and the rest followed suit - we were all mates before joining Kempsey so it really makes for a great atmosphere. Will definitely see if I can make it back for that weekend - can remember playing against OV's when I used to play OE's 3s as a youngster, cracking ground!

Was informed of this around a month prior to the appeal at our committee meeting as the outcome of the  appeal would impact on  relegation heard the result of the appeal yesterday what I can  also say appealing against the discipline  decision by individual players didn't come cheap.

Sounds like they are. A bunch of trouble makers the game would do well to get rid of. Clubs that tolerate players who are aggressive and 'fans' should simply be chucked out and all those involved banned. No need for it

Leagues are too soft and people for some reason think it's 'part of the game'. Used to but the hell out of me on the football pitch and was a key reason I stopped playing 'hack you down then say 'it's a mans game''.. its why I happy to see amateur football going to the dogs as there are too many players like that
