Salix Torque Select
« on: November 04, 2015, 03:17:04 PM »

Bought this Salix Torque Select from PDC sale
at 40% off seems like a great price.
So ordered a light one and this is what i got

2-9.7 , 40 mm edges, 62 mm spine
Looks like butterfly + heartwood willow
but the finish is second to non...feels really nice
pickup is good
response wise needs knocking in but the initial ping is nice..ball is bouncing off well of the bat

Here are the pics

Will add some more detailed review as i knock the bat

Before anyone else says it...
Something something something, storm damage  ;)

Very nice bat, decent size edges so plenty of wood in the hitting area (when I bat, anyway).
Love the stickers, and to me thats a beautiful bit of willow, even has heartwood where I like it!

Doesn't PDC claim "light" to be 2lb 6oz to 2lb 9 oz?

I usually play with 2-10 and I have received a 2-10 from then when I ordered light. So again pdc bat sale is a gamble. Key is to go with a good brand :)

Ya no lightening here on the willow :)
I did check for it and after that storm damage post you have to check that ;)

I do like these stickers and think they are much better than 2016 transparent ones.

Have spent some time knocking with a heavy mallet, will oil it tonight and knock more for a few days.

I'll measure it but I think it's 1.5 inches
