If Jason Roy has a good season for Surrey (ideally opening the batting in Division 1), then surely he'll be worth a look in the Test side? Big fan, and personally I think he looks 'technically' better than Hales.

Hales could of course get 500 runs in SA and it won't matter...

I still think that Hales is a better, more consistent batsman than Roy to be honest.

Roy needs a decent bat sponsor, the Slazenger stickers look a bit two-bob. If you got a Slaz you really need to go retro with the V12 and V6 back-in-the-day

The V's were good but I've got a soft spot for this V800, had some scooping at the shoulders, got my 1st ton with one

If memory is right you had the ones shown there, but also a yellow and blue combination, same style, on the V800
