Cheers mate just had a look and they seem a pretty interesting concept

My only query would be around the legality of them? Seems a similar idea to a laminate or the graphite back sheets that kookaburra used to use?

Unless you're a professional all these things are legal anyway.  ;)

Hey skip,

As in cost? I bought it about 3 years ago I believe from a CBF member for about $350aud. Its an absolute gun of a bat. The TAS inserts really do help I reckon. The Inserts are starting to split the bat in half though.

Ill try an upload photos when I get a chance.

Hey mate, welcome to the forum! I believe I sold you that bat and I'm glad you have been happy with it!  :)
The TAS inserts definitely add a few ounces but that bat picked up so well it wasn't too noticeable... As for the Warner profile, I had GN make me one in Legend Willow ( some picks on here under a thread I started called "hey Warner, missing one of your bats, mate?" and it pinged like a pingy thing from pingsville but was a bit heavy so I just sold it to a very happy team mate. One thing about the Warner bat is that as the handle is so thin as it doesn't have any binding, it needs at least two grips.
I got a B3 Pepsi a few weeks ago in Crown willow: a bit thicker through the shoulders and a much thicker handle gives it a much better pick up than the Warner! It hasn't got the ping of the GN yet but at the rate it is opening up, I don't think it will be long before its on par if not better.

haha. I knew you'd pop up somewhere. The bat you sold me has got me a fair few runs. the middle on the thing is ridiculous but pretty sure its gonna snap soon. I'm pretty desperate for a new bat in case it snaps on me. That custom you got from GN is exactly what I'm after. Looks a stunner mate. How much did the Pepsi cost in crown grade?

Cheers

Was just thinking, it's a very strange world we live in when a Tom Kohler-Cadmore trumps a David Warner.

How about weight of runs and 100's which is more meaningful in this game

Then Warner would trump Kohler-Cadmore down to the fact he's 8 years older and has played 548 more innings (as at 12/11/2015)

Well so this happened today after the first few balls. I think the reason it snapped this way is because of the TAS insterts. Maybe a batmaker can explain The inserts are quite big. No wonder they add about 4 ounces. Damn I wish I had a backup bat right now. Got nothing to use for about a week.

Paul Aldred makes a lovely bat. And World Domination Enterprises might not be your thing. ;)

Paul Aldred does indeed make a lovely bat, but tbh from what I see on here all the forum bat makers turn out top notch wood and all will custom for you, so talk to them all see who suits your budget best bud.

For the record my Aldred Spectre is starting to ping amazingly now I'm well into the mallet bashing stage..

Really difficult decision considering all the batmakers on here do a great job with custom bats. Ill probably never go with off the shelf path anymore. Ive ordered a warner profile bat with a few tweaks from B3. I'm highly considering ordering another one maybe from another bat maker as a backup. Trying to decide what profile I'd like.

Sorry for your loss! Looks terminal! Burial, cremation or wall-mount?
Just give yourself a day or 2 to mourn your loss, then best of luck on finding a replacement!

Do you still have that dilema if one of yours goes, even with THE collection, Mr Hosk?
