Kookaburra bubble then and now.
« on: November 19, 2015, 09:30:32 PM »

Just been tidying my kit to see what I have and pack it away for a couple of months.

I managed to forget that I had an old bubble so decided to compare it to the new bubble I bought from Vitas the other day.

They are both a similar weight and the size difference is quite surprising.

Not sure of the exact age of the old one but I know one of my u13 team mates owned it back then all about 17 years old. I used it in a few games last year and it went well enough.

Wow - I have never seen the older Kook Bubble bat. Looks nice mate. Is it still in playable condition or are you keeping it for sentimental reasons :-) ??

That's an interesting comparison. I picked up a bubble from Jake too, looking forward to giving it an airing when nets start. I've always wanted one since Alex Stewart used a bubble to spank the Windies around the park in the early 90s.  :)

Brought some memories back with the picture of the old bubble! Had one of those as my first bat circa 2000/01! Shame Kookaburra didn't stay true to the original shape like GN did with the scoop/dynadrive.

Saw one of those still in use a couple of seasons back.
