PremierTek
« on: November 24, 2015, 08:53:19 PM »

Good evening,

I've said before that I've been out of the game for a while and after digging out my rusty, cobweb ridden Masuri helmet decided I should look at a replacement. Was looking at the Ayrtek range but having read about new regulations and safety tests I looked through the forum to find out if these are compliant and whether that even makes a difference I am none the wiser. Can anyone enlighten me please?

they dont currently pass regulations as its possible to move the grill so that the gap is too big and doesnt pass the test. i currently have 3 of their helmets and love using them

i believe they have something in the pipeline but dont know any details.

So the reason they don't pass is that the user can choose to make them non compliant by increasing the gap?

that is my understanding of it. if you use the recommended settings then they pass their own tests which are the same standard i believe

We've been working hard on the product(s) and the above are correct in that the existing adidas PremierTek range isn't 2013 compliant. We are looking to offer the new design of grille as a retro-fit option to customers who already own the helmets if they should wish to update their existing helmet.

This still wouldn't make it "officially" 2013 compliant due to the labelled requirement of the standard. It would hopefully provide peace of mind for any customers that want the grille fixed in place and a 45mm gap provided by the updated grille.

We will be offering the PremierTek range on sale during our Black Friday event as we clear stock to make way for what we have planned for 2016. Once everything is finalised we will obviously roll out an announcement regarding it all.
