Helmet cleaning?

Guys,

How do you clean your helmet? Mine has become dirty.. Need to remove sweat, smell, dirt insides of the helmet....

I tend to give my helmet a good wash in the shower.
Plenty of soap to get rid of dirt and sweat, then towel it dry after.

A spray of some nice smelling deodorant once done doesn't hurt either

Don't bother washing mine, just leave it the smells part of its character. Might leave it out in the sun to dry it out so it doesn't get mouldy. Nobody like a mouldy helmet. Even when my mates have had a go on my helmet I won't wash it.

Remove padding from the inside (if possible) and hand wash them. Use antibacterial wipes to clean the inside.

Never thought about putting it in the shower...
