First bat
« on: December 04, 2015, 03:14:25 PM »

Hey lads,  long time reader,  thought I'd better post my first attempt.

I'm a photographer by trade (Newspapers) so not your average tradie...
Saying that, I'm not happy with my snaps...  But once she is finally finished (stickers and all)  I'll shoot her properly...

Anyhow here she is...  Weighing in at 2lb 5 and aiming at 2lb 7 dressed and oiled...  Not after a heavy bat at all...
Picks up nicely,  very happy with my first effort...  Need to bone the face and edges and knock her in...

Anyhow here are some pics...

Great effort for a first attempt! Where did you get the part made from? Well done, always wanted to shape a bat for myself, but never really gotten round to doing it! :-[

Cheers mate, I'm looking forward to her being finalised and onto the next one...  Got it from willow wizard in Melbourne.
