My new g2 NV custom monster!!!
« on: December 04, 2015, 03:21:15 PM »

Few weeks/month back I think, I put a thread up asking for a 2.14 plus bat, half heartwood, right handers inside edge.
Had to be a big bat, not a skinny dense piece.

Few offers here and there, but then jake came and offered me some custom made from h4l.
I wasn't looking for something to be made as I don't always trust it to be as big as wanted, but I was offered the opportunity of a lifetime by jake.

"H4l guarantee it won't be small, order it, I'll have it made and if it's not what you want, you don't have to pay, I'll just put it in stock"

Buzzing, picked a cleft and off it went, 4 days later someone posted a thread on there h4l arriving, and as I went in it I had a pm. With excitement I thought mine was ready and gleefully opened it!!

STORM DAMAGE

the cleft i chose was storm damaged, so if I wanted they'd make another. Another selection of clefts came up and This one was in there (was not originally). Loved it and he cracked on.

And now it's arrived. And I'm extremely happy.

G2 Nv profile, round handle, big bow weigh in in at 2.15.

Let the pics do the talking.

Big thanks to jake ( @Vitas Cricket )for sorting this, his service is top top notch.

And big thanks to Matt ( @hell4leather cricket )for making it, truly is a master bat maker.

It needs knocking in, and a scuff, but it's took place two in my bag for match bats. The current two are.

Next week, bat 3 should arrive, hoping it's as good as these two! Stay posted.

It is a cracking bat, and a big bat. Needs some knocking in.

Had my tempo had the bow this does, I'd probably still have it and be using it. H4l makes some serious bats.

I used my Polaris in the nets this week and it takes some getting used to as it's got very little bow

Nope.

As far as I'm aware it's a standard Nv profile, just in a monster cleft. Edge highest point and middle position are lower on the Nv than the Warner.

I like a lot of bow, and/or the handle slightly set forward.

The h4l tempo I had was so straight I just couldn't get on with it. Just felt wrong imo
