Focus Cricket Butterfly
« on: December 04, 2015, 03:44:41 PM »

Afternoon chaps,

Whilst at the vitas event last weekend, I purchased some new timber.
I had messaged Jake earlier in the week asking a bit about the Focus bats, and he said he had a nice butterfly in. I asked him to put it aside and id make my mind up saturday, and subsequently it ended up leaving in my kitbag.
The bat itself is nicely finished, with a nice butterfly stain about halfway down the blade, a touch of heartwood on the inside edge and 8 nice straight grains.
Its got a slight duckbill profile, and weighs 2-11 and picks up nicely and responded well off of people throwning balls at it.
The decals are really nice as well, nice embossed finish to them.

Cheers

If I was going to purchase a butterfly, I'd be after one that looks like that. Never really been a fan but that looks lovely

Hope it serves you well but not a fan of Butterfly's as IMO they are made from the bottom end and ugliest willow
